I will try to keep my words brief, since that is all that you will be receiving from me today.

Before I start, I must apologize, our building is pretty loud right now, with lots going on. Also, I am a little bit tired, I had some trouble sleeping last night due to some allergies kicking up, so bear with me. Here goes.

Monday was a fairly normal day with class and work. For FHE we went to our ward's second counselor's house. They made us some delicious pizza and we had a nice spiritual thought. We then ate and had desert; delicious peach cobbler. Brother Rosborough then taught us a cool version of Taboo/Guesstures combined, and we had tons of fun. If you're interested, one of my "brothers," Kevin, put up pictures from that evening on my Facebook page, so feel free to check it out.

Tuesday was just another day, classes, studying, work, studying, homework, bed.

Wednesday was another study packed day because I had a Biology test that evening. I did well on the test, better than I did on my BOM test, but not excellent. I was still proud of myself none-the-less. After the test me and Kyle went longboarding. (Kyle had bought a board from my dad at the beginning of the week, so this was our first ride.) We knew longboarding wasn't allowed on campus, so we made sure to be off campus. However, on our way down 9th east, we got pulled over, and the BYU policewoman let us know that if we were riding at night, that we needed to have reflective clothing on, something we didn't know. So we went down 9th a bit more and doubled back to head home. While we were simply pushing our way up the hill towards home, we got stopped again. This time she took our information down because we were on campus that time, and therefore violating the law. She gave us a warning and told us that no matter what hour, or what we were doing, our boards needed to be in our hands. It's kind of lame, but that's the way it is, so we walked our boards the rest of the way home.

Thursday was a crazy day. Actually, the day was rather boring; I just had classes, homework, and work. I went to go pass off my programming midterm (it was a program I wrote that would analyze DNA sequences to determined if there was a possible gene embedded in the string). I ended up getting 100% on that portion of my midterm :) The night is when it got crazy. After work, I went down to swing dance with Shmucki, and Kyle. I only caught the end of it, but what I was there for was pretty fun. Afterwards we kinda just hung out until Celeste texted me and suggested we come down and visit her at Awful Waffle because she would be getting off work soon. Me, Kyle, and Schmucki went down and hung out for a bit until Celeste was off. We hung out for a bit, and then Shmucki went back home because she had some stuff to get done. So Celeste invited me and Kyle over to her apartment. We got there and met one of her roommates, and a guy the her roommate is dating. We just hung out and talked for quite a bit, then we watched a bunch of random videos on YouTube. We were there until LATE. (for the purpose of avoiding scolding from my parents regarding "poor decision making" the actual time will remain unstated ;) ) We then went home and slept immediately.

Friday was another day of classes and work. After work I jetted over to the testing center to take the multiple choice part of my programming midterm. I was out of the center in 15 minutes, scoring a 95%. I ROCKED that test. I was so happy. Best test score yet (apart from my 100, but that wasn't multiple choice) I then ran home and printed off my ticket for the football game against USU. It was an AWESOME game! Thane ended up coming with our neighbors, and they had an extra seat by them, so they so kindly let me sit next to my brother for the last quarter. After the game, I decided to go for a walk and was walking around the campus when I heard music far off. Just off campus I found a dance in a parking lot put on by EDP (Electronic Dance Party) It was soooo much fun. I ran into a few kids from my hometown, and even bumped in to Celeste and her roommates. After the dance ended, I went home and slept since I was so tired from the previous late night.

Saturday was great too. I missed the first session of conference because I had to work the bookstore and the machines around me were too loud for me to hear the TV's. In the early afternoon Dallen came down to visit. After priesthood, we tried to arrange a group to longboard down Provo canyon, but all our plans fell through, so we decided to just ride around in Provo. Before we even got out of my apartment complex, Dallen slid on a wet spot and ate it pretty hard. He was pretty scraped up, and the only first aid we had in my apartment is soap and water. So I gave Celeste a call and we headed down there. We got Dallen all dressed up and then hung out for a bit. Dallen had to go, so we went back to my apartment to get his car. I then met up with Kyle in new heritage and met one of his old friends from AZ. We went home and tried to watch a movie, but were so tired, so we just went to bed.

Today was great, lot's of sleeping, and conference, and that's pretty much it! Now I'm just getting ready for the week ahead of me!

Finally! The time has come

Hello everyone! I apologize for not posting up last Sunday, I was rather busy, and am still going to be busy with this week. It's midterm time :p But here's the recap of my last two crazy weeks.

Monday was fairly uninteresting, except for two highlights within my classes. In my biology class we did a really cool lab with termites and pens. When you draw a line or a circle on a piece of paper, the termites will follow it around. It turns out that termites secrete phaeromones as they walk around, and other termites smell that and then follow the trail. There is a chemical in BIC pens that are very similar to the smell of that phaeromone, causing the termite to follow the line around. So we had a lot of fun playing with termites :) Also, in ballroom, we started learning the Samba. My favorite ballroom dance :)
Later that night we had our whole FHE group together for the first time. We played frisbee and other night games and then went back to the girls' apartment for ice cream. We had a great time.

Tuesday was fairly ordinary as well, however, in my BOM class my teacher gave an awesome lesson about the Book of Mormon and the power and influence it can have. He told us that the reason he had us read the BOM in 2 weeks is so that we could have an amazing spiritual experience; and amazing it has been! Later that night I went on a run around the outside of campus, it was an intense run, my thighs were sore for the next day or two.

Wednesday I went to the library for the very first time. I was blown away at how huge that building is and how many books and resources they have there. I passed off my third program in CS 142 and got 110%, then went back to my apartment. Me and Kyle then decided to bike down to Macey's and do a bit of grocery shopping. Once we got back, we did a bit of homework and then decided we wanted to go free running through campus. We jumped over and off of a bunch of things, and climbed a few trees, I slipped and got a funny scrape on the inside of my left bicep. We came to this small hill and Kyle would run up and do a front flip off of it. I wanted to do it, but afraid of injury, decided to practice at the dive tank before attempting it on the unforgiving ground.

Thursday was quite uneventful, mainly consisting of school, and a slow day at work. I finished decorating my room, however.

Friday consisted of school and work, and then me and Kyle spent our evening watching Limitless on my laptop. It was a pretty good movie, I liked it quite a bit.

Saturday was much more lively. I had to plan ahead for my day and ended up going to work in slacks and a dress shirt, because as soon as work was over, I ran over to the HFAC of the World of Dance concert. It comprised of a bunch of the dance teams doing different pieces. I enjoyed seeing the ballroom latin medley the most. Immediately after the concert, I biked home and switched into my game clothes and headed to our rivalry football game. It was quite fun being there, despite our utter failure.

Sunday was nice. Me and Kyle came to my house for a delicious meal made by my mother, and some fun playing with my siblings. We watched 17 miracles, and then headed home.

Monday was an alright day, with just school and work, and then FHE. FHE was fun, we played sports and dancing on the xbox kinect. After, we watched the TV show called the sing off because BYU's acapella group Vocal Point is on it this year. They did so good!

Tuesday I checked out my very first two books at the library. I got The Adventrues of Sherlock Holmes and Aristotle's Art of Rhetoric.
That evening, after work, I biked down to McDonalds to do my homework. I used their wifi and just sipped away at my soda while I studied. It was actually a really good environment, the jazzy elevator music playing was quite nice :)

Wednesday was fairly similar, with another McDonalds trip in the evening.

Thursday, my wonderful mother came down and took me to lunch after my classes. We went to the Legends Grill, then she bought me some cinnamon bears and a gallon of milk. I've decided I love it when mom comes to visit ;) Later that evening after work I took my first ever test in the testing center. It was for my BOM class. I got a 73% on the multiple choice, but I felt pretty good about the essay portion, so hopefully that will bring me up. It was a good learning experience and I definitely know how to better prepare for next time. After the test me and Kyle longboarded/ roller-bladed down to a place called the "Awful Waffle" where they have delicious Belgian waffles and crepes. We met a girl that worked there named Celeste, her older sister owns the shop and she had moved here from Texas. She is super cute and super nice, so we talked with her for a bit, then headed home.

Friday wasn't too exciting because I had to work from 5-8, and the football game started at 6. When I got off work it was already the middle of third quarter, so I headed down to Awful Waffle for one of those delicious waffles I had been craving since the previous night. As it turns out, Celeste was working again, and she took my order. I was the last one before she was off, after she got out she came and talked to me. I was planning on maybe catching the fourth quarter of the game, but me and Celeste ended up talking for almost 2 hours, when Kyle came over. The three of us talked for another little bit, and then Celeste headed home. I had to use the bathroom, so I went over to the Sinclair next door to look for one.
I tried the left door, but it was locked. I peered inside, and no one was there, so I tried the right door. It opened... and I heard the sound of the alarm going off. (Note: I did not set the alarm off, the alarm was already going off, it just wasn't until I opened the door that I could hear the alarm. I'm sure somebody did the same thing I did, unintentionally setting off the alarm by opening a door that someone forgot to lock) It scared me so bad I just sat there for a minute then slowly walked away.

Saturday was a nice day. I rode my bike in to Provo to meet a guy I found on KSL who was selling his old unicycle. Since my old one is way too small, I bought the new one, and then brought it home on the handle bars of my bike. After dropping my bike off, I went for a little adventure to downtown provo... on my unicycle. I rode there and back without any stopping. Needless to say: my thighs were on fire and I was significantly saddle sore. That night, me and Kyle went to the Night of Fire at the Rocky Mountain Raceways. It was so fun. It was Kyle's first time, and we both had a blast watching the Jet Cars.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v2.nonxt8.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D6edc28ebe96fa812%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1332949757%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D8388F3A8A931BE1545B66C39276296550845C5C9.37125D8DE1D06D5C7A925677DA663005D19537DC%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D6edc28ebe96fa812%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DecrAaQvM7f4Vul-_prfKdbV95mY&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

And here I am today, I came home for my sister's birthday and for a nice family dinner. I slept in, woke up, and then cleaned my apartment a bit and did some homework. I got ahead for the whole week in one of my classes and was feeling really good, so I decided to take a break. My dear friend from Illinois (mentioned in earlier posts) is named Katelyn and I will be referring to her by name from here on. Katelyn needed some groceries from the creamery so I went with her. She brought a backpack to carry her groceries home in, but she ended up buying a lot more than she could carry, so we just decided to push the cart all the way home. After unloading the cart, we parked it in the bike racks next to our building. With intentions to return it later on, we came back to find that some friendly stranger returned the cart for us. :) Either that, or stole it... We're hoping for the former.
Later that night we had FHE (Family Home Evening) We went over to our sisters' apartment and played crazy uno, spastic uno, and balderdash. It was a lot of fun :)

Tuesday was fairly uneventful; the day was full of school, homework, and work.

Wednesday was quite exciting. I had classes in the morning, and then after classes, my neighborhood friend, Marisa, came and got me and my roommate and took us to Sensuous Sandwiches to meet up with a bunch of old school friends before they headed up to BYU Idaho. Sensuous Sandwiches has a food challenge. The challenge: to eat a 24" sandwich in 30 minutes. That is what Hannah, Marisa, and Josh were all going to attempt. I also wanted to attempt it, but I did not have enough money to afford that massive two food sub. 30 minutes later, all three of my friends had failed. We got our picture taken (below) and headed back to BYU.

Me and Kyle were talking later that night, and realized that we probably could do the challenge. We then decided that on Saturday we would return and beat the challenge. We spent the remainder of the night googling how to prepare for an eating challenge, and then began our preparations; we ate tons of food, and drank lots of water. I'm talking like a big meal topped with a liter of water.

Thursday was a fairly normal day. After classes I rode down to Craig's Cuts and got a hair cut, and then did some homework. I went to work at 5; then, at 8, came home and got changed to go to the pool with Kyle, and my new friend Christi. We went to the pool and did all sorts of dives and flips off the diving board. Part way through, they opened the high dive platform and we got to jump off of that. Kyle even did a suicide back flip off the platform!
We then gathered our stuff and walked to J Dawgs to present Christi with her first J Dawg. Mmmm!
When we returned to our apartment, Brother McQuarrie, our first counselor, was standing outside our door with our callings! I was called to be on the activities committee and was sustained today :) I am so excited, it is going to be a way fun calling.

Friday was a fairly normal school day, with homework and then work at the bookstore, but earlier in the day, Kyle came up with a plan for the evening. Each guy in our dorm was going to make a meal for ourselves and a date. We then invited an apartment from the girls building to make a dessert. The girls were then to come over, and pick a boy as their date, before they knew what meal we had made. I made some fettuccine chicken Alfredo with a salad and dinner roll. Most of the guys ended up doing noodles, but Alex made these super fancy pork chops, and Soren made this delicious-looking noodle dish, tons of Parmesan bread, and even Martinelli's sparkling cider. He definitely beat us all.

The girls came over, and my friend Brynna picked me. We set up a table in the lobby of our apartment because there wouldn't be enough room in our kitchen, so we enjoyed everyone's company that was coming and going that evening :) The night was a lot of fun!

After dinner, Kyle decided he wanted to do a 2 liter chug of water in preparation for Saturday. He got it all down, then realized it wouldn't stay down and bolted outside. He then proceeded to empty all the water our of his stomach while the boys watched and yelled "OHhhh!" every time he heaved, and the girls covered their eyes and cringed. After about 20 heaves (not and exaggeration) and 5 minutes, he was empty. After he had returned to normal, we had a good discussion about all the throwing up stories we had and problems that happened during church.

Saturday was finally here. I was hoping the huge lunch I had the day before (bowl of macaroni and cheese, bowl of corn, a four-egg omelet, a can of ravioli, and a liter and half of water) had stretched my stomach enough to hold down the sandwich. We then went to Sensuous Sandwiches and placed our orders. I ordered a Sorry Charlie, which is chock full of tuna and cheese (in hindsight... that was a poor choice, haha :) )

Things were going good for me and Kyle both. In 10 minutes, I had finished my first half.

With 8:37 left, I had a sixth of a sandwich remaing.

The last bit was intense, but with one second to spare, I finished. We then got our free t-shirts, and got our picture taken and put up on the wall. From now on, whenever I wear that shirt into the shop, I get a free drink!

When we got home, both of us were so full. I went into the bathroom and threw up about 12 inches worth of tuna sandwich. Then I went into my room, laid on my bed, and went into a three and half hour sandwich-hangover coma.
When I woke up I showered again and got the football game playing on my computer. When the game was over, I biked to downtown Provo, rented Limitless from Red Box, and then rode home. I went on an evening stroll with a girl from my ballroom class, her name is Emilee.

Today has been pretty good, I got my home teaching assignment and was sustained to my calling. I made some lunch today (First thing I've been able to eat since this same time yesterday) But it has been a good week indeed. I am excited to see what this coming week has in store.

Other random story:
Since moving in, I have noticed that my bar of soap has been diminishing rapidly. I came to the conclusion that someone else was using it, and began to put my soap back into my personal shower basket thing in certain ways, so that I could tell if somebody used it and put it back in a way that was different than how I left it. I even moved my basket to another shower. The next day the soap was not even in my basket, it was in the other shower, so someone had definitely been using it. I decided I needed a different approach :)

I have not had any problems since then :)

Thanks everyone for reading! Hope you enjoyed my post today, feel free to leave a comment! love ya'll!

An official week has passed!

Hey Everyone! What a beautiful day in Provo :)

Well, there's much to say, so I best get started! (Hopefully this time I'll be better and conveying more, but saying less)
Monday was my first day of classes. I had MUSIC 101, WRTG 150, BIO 100, and DANCE 285. Everything went pretty well, and I was on time to every class. Nothing too exciting happened in any of my classes, and before I knew it, I was done for the day. I then went back to my apartment, got some food, and started on my homework. I then had work at 5. (normally I work 5 to 6 on Monday's because of FHE [family home evening], but that day we were open until 8 (the normal time) due to the fact that it was the first day of school. Unfortunately I missed my first FHE :/ Earlier, I had made plans to go on a bike ride with a girl I met (her name is Katelyn, she's from Illinois :) ), so I ran home, and got ready to ride. We rode down and along the Provo River trail and then turned around and rode back. On the way back, we stopped at Macey's and got soft serve ice cream. When I got back to my apartment, I was all smiles. I had a really fun time! Turns out, my roommate had a great night as well. We exchanged stories and I returned to my homework as he called all his friends and family back home to tell them about his night. (No comment on what happened with him ;) )

Tuesday was fairly similar to Monday, just different classes, CS 142 and REL A 121. I love my computer programming class! It is so cool, and tons of fun! I got 21/20 on my first program I turned in on Thursday. In my BOM (Book of Mormon) class, my teacher informed us that we are to read the BOM to Alma 29, in 2 weeks. Totaling out to 20 pages a day! It is crazy intesnse, but I love it! I'm learning so much and can feel the power of the BOM more than ever before. I also learned from a friend a new way of reading the BOM. They said to get a new, blank BOM so you're not distracted by previous markings, they also said to focus on a single topic as you go through. I've been a underlining maniac!

It's really hard to read that much everyday, but I know it's totally worth it! I've never been so excited to read in my life!

I also discovered it is free to use the pool and facilities during the "free swim" hours, so I went down and checked the pool out for an hour. They have 2 normal diving boards, 2 higher boards, and one high dive. I did a bunch of flips and aerials, then headed to the locker room. After about 10 minutes of devastated panic, I found my keys on the locker room floor, unlocked my bike, and rode home. I got home, did homework, and at about 10:30 decided to make some cookies. Kyle's cousin, and her friend had come over and were in our kitchen. They were keeping to themselves in the corner, Kyle was making food, I was making cookies, and nobody was keeping track of the time. All of a sudden a lady comes through our kitchen door and tells us she needs all our names and net id's. We were being written up for honor code violation for having girls in our kitchen past curfew, which the lady informed us was 11 o'clock. I glanced at my watched and realized: Holy Cow! It was only 11:03. This lady was on the ball. She told us it was just a warning, we weren't getting in trouble, and that we could take it out to the lobby until midnight, when she'd be back around to kick everyone out. Shortly thereafter the girls left, and me and Kyle went back to doing homework. Around midnight, we heard the doors in our lobby locking, and the blinds being closed. Kyle turns to me and asks, "should we get a picture with her?" I replied, "let's do it!" and... Viola!

We are all still with a clean slate here at BYU, as long as we don't repeat the violation. Which, I'm sure, will not be happening again. We all got a pretty good scare :)

Wednesday was full of class, homework, and work. Then sleep :)

Thursday was uneventful as well until the evening. Some of my hometown friends came down to visit and we went to J Dawgs and had a grand ol' time! I also received a couple late birthday presents :) Thanks guys! ;)

Friday was full of class and homework, and work as well. After class, I just ran into some of my ward members and spent the night with them. I also worked on re-gripping my old longboard, Charlotte. The design, I think, is pretty gnarly!

Saturday, I had to work in the morning, and shortly after work, my mother came down, dropped some supplies off, and took me home to do some laundry. I did my laundry, and in a rush, picked up an old and dear friend of mine, then me, her, and my little brother met my family in Orem for the Timpanogos Story Telling Festival's Laughing Night :) It was so much fun! And I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with my friend :)) All in all, it was a fantastic night.

This morning, just got up and went to church. I was well rested, so I was able to stay very awake and alert for the meeting. It was fast and testimony meeting, and my ward members had a lot of really great stuff to share! We then went to Sunday school, which was good, for sure, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Elder's Quorum however, was AMAZING. We made a list of all the ordinances and privileges and responsibilities of the priesthood, and discussed them. I am so blown away at the power that I now have as an Elder. I am soooo blessed, and I realized that I have a lot of responsibility! I am excited to get a home teaching calling and assignment so that I can exercise that power for the benefit of others :) I didn't realize that we could dedicate our apartment, and hope that we can do that soon. Towards the end of our lesson, we consecrated some oil. I'm excited for next week when I might have the chance to do it for my own oil. :) I can't believe I have the power to anoint and bless for the healing of the sick. I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it. :') I pray that as I'm learning and growing that I will have a greater ability, and faith to perform the work that the Lord has for me, and I am anxious to be a tool he can use to enrich his kingdom. How canI ever doubt this gospel? :)

Well folks, thanks for reading, hope you are all doing well. May God bless you!

A brief mid-week post

I will be posting up the events of this week on Sunday (be sure to check back, because there are some pretty good stories!) but for now I just wanted to share some thoughts I had.

I just finished doing some reading for my Writing and Rhetoric class. The article was actually a talk given by Elder Ballard on the influences of the new media, hence the inspiration to share my thoughts and feelings via new media.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend BYU, being that it is a church university. I never realized how much of a gift it is to be able to start a class with a prayer to our Father in Heaven. I have found myself learning quicker, staying more focused, being able to endure my studies longer and more sufficiently, and retain the knowledge that I obtain. I am grateful to be surrounded by people who dress in a manner that everyone else can be comfortable with. How unfortunate it is that we live in a world where others choosing to express their opinion, can negatively effect those surrounding them.
I am grateful for the friendships I have gained already, and the peace that being surrounded by the gospel brings into our apartment building. I have never seen a group of guys be so friendly and welcoming to each other. I love being able to have reading assignments from church leadership. There words are uplifting and inspiring. I am excited for the opportunity that I have to read the Book of Mormon this year, and I can already see the profound influence that it has on my day to day activities. I feel much happier, and have an appreciation for the people around me that I have only rarely experienced. I feel a true love and respect for human kind. I recognize the love God has for them, and that love is prevalent in me. I am grateful for my family, and especially my parents, for all that they have done for me to get me to this point where I am in my life right now. I am grateful for the gospel and the membership I hold in this church. I know it is true.

I wish you all the best. Look for God's hand in your life every day.

First post...

Hey everyone, decided to start a blog, so that all of you that are curious about what goes on in my life now, can find out without having to text me a hundred times ;)

This week I had NSO (New Student Orientation) It was a lot of fun! I got a couple of free t-shirts and a free BYU cinch sack. I also got a "Traditions of the Y" booklet, that has all these crazy things you should do with your years at BYU.

I got to know campus a bit better and learned about all the cool resources and things to do. Wednesday, there was a huge dance in the ballroom at the Wilkinson Center for all the residents of Heritage Halls. I didn't even know about it, but I was lucky enough to be coming out of work (I work at the bookstore) and heard the music, so I went over to check it out. There I met a bunch of kids that were pretty good dancers, so I danced with them a bit, and one of the kids, Matt, told me about the dance clubs.

Tuesday night is club night, and I've registered to be part of Club Style (which is BYU's hip hop club) and the break dance club. However, due to my work schedule, I'm not sure how much of the Club Style I will be able to attend. I was hoping there was a free running club, and I've looked for one, but I have had no such luck so far.
There was another dance last night (Saturday night) in the courtyard behind the Wilkinson Center, it was sooooo crazy! There were easily around two thousand people in attendance. They also had all sorts of things going on in the building such as ping pong tables, karaoke, and comedy shows.

On Friday night, they played the movie Tangled on a giant screen outside in Helaman Field. They also gave out free BYU ice cream with this years flavor made just for us. BYU Brownie :) After the movie, I headed back to my apartment. When I got there (about 11:30) nobody was asleep! Our building was alive and wild, I was surprised. A bunch of people were going down to the Heritage Courtyard to play night games, so I tagged along for a bit and made some new friends. At about 1:30 I decided it was getting to be a bit late, and headed back to my apartment. On my way back I was walking past Young Hall (the building that houses all the young ladies in my ward) I heard music, and looked up to find a bunch of people on the balcony having a dance party. They invited me up... So I joined them.
Needless to say, I ended up getting back into my room at about 2:30 and got in to bed around 3:00. Traffic school back at home Saturday morning at eight o'clock.... Killer. :p

Today is Sunday, I attended my ward (we have nine o'clock church) then came back and changed into some more casual clothes. I then started preparing for my Sunday dinner... I'll get back to that :) After finishing my preparations, I went for a nice bike ride around campus, and scouted out my classes for tomorrow. I then came back to my apartment, and played games with my ward members. Earlier this evening, we had our first hall meeting.
Some topics discussed at the meeting: Man Night, Whitney Hall (my building) and Young Hall (the ladies in our ward's building) massive group date, and "feminine night"
Our RA (residence assistant) led the meeting, his name is Wes, and he just barely got back from his mission, the cool thing about him though is that he's a freshman too. So he's really tight with all of us, and really relaxed and funny. He made some joke about him being one of two RM's in our building, therefore rendering him as 50% of the "available" males in our ward, leaving him with about 49 young ladies to choose from. I was laughing pretty hard.
Another thing that Wes said that made me laugh went something like this: "Thanks everyone for coming to the meeting, I promise it won't be long, because... well... I'm a guy. And I don't like to take a lot of time on things... except for women" Then we all yelled "Amen!" and everyone started laughing.

After our meeting, I finished my dinner. Lo, and behold:

Yes, that is fettuccine chicken Alfredo, creamed corn, and bread. My roommates were making all sorts of comments complimenting my meal, and stating their jealousy. Mother: I will survive!!

Well folks, that's all for now, apologies for the massive post, I hope I will become better at this as I continue to do it, I'm aiming to post at least every Sunday, but subscribe to my blog, and you should get email updates every time a new post comes up... if not, just check back every Sunday/ Monday morning.

Other than that, below are a few pics of my room. I'm having a great time.
